David Ervin Miller

Age 69.  Passed away April 1, 2018 due to a cerebral aneurysm that occurred as he was completing his daily walk around Lake Como.

Dave was born on October 6, 1948. He graduated from Murray High School (class of 1966) and the University of Minnesota. He was a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. He spent many years skiing in Sun Valley, Idaho.

Dave was predeceased by his parents Ralph and Betty Miller. He is survived by his brother Dan (Beth Haukebo) Miller and sister Nancy (John) Lindahl. He was adored by his niece and nephew and grandnephew and grandniece: Megan (Dan) Goodrich and children Jack and Kate, Peter Lindahl (Susan Blaska). He is also survived by his longtime girlfriend Patti Gibbs.

Dave was a talented, intelligent, gentle soul. He was a gifted woodworker, a dedicated crossword puzzle aficionado, a fabulous golfer (who got his hole in one!), a cyclist, a music lover and a movie enthusiast. Above all he was a great brother, uncle and friend.

Memorial Service May 4th at St. Anthony Park United Church of Christ. Details to follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the University of Minnesota Foundation, 200 Oak Street SE, Suite 500, Minneapolis, MN 55455, and will be directed to the new Minnesota Golf Indoor Practice Facility that will be located at the historic Les Bolstad Golf Course.
